Kevin Niendorf game reports: "In the men's game, American River (5-10, 1-2) had nine 3-pointers by the 12th minute and led 29-15. Delta (6-8, 1-2) battled back to tie the game at 34-34 with Zach Zeyen, David Lerma and Alex Smith each making a 3-pointer of their own. Still, the Beavers led 42-39 at halftime.

The Mustangs once again tied the score at 57-57 midway through the second half, but after falling behind 65-62, American River went on a 15-5 run to end the game. American River finished 12 of 22 from beyond the arc and Delta was 6 of 20. Jovian Cormier led Delta with 21 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.

"I thought we fought, we just didn't have enough at the end," Delta coach Rich Ressa said. "I thought we didn't compete for the whole 40 minutes, but I know our effort is there."
