Contra Costa College Men's Basketball: "The Comets defeated rival Solano College 77-69 in what turned out to be an uphill climb. After an ice cold shooting first half (29%) which left the Comets trailing by 11, the Comets were able to snap out of their funk and escape with the win. F Jeremiah Alston led the Comets with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks, while F Larry Wickett added 20 points and 8 rebounds. G Anthony Sullen chipped in with 17 points and 7 rebounds and PG Bobby Syvanthong had a stellar all around game with 6 points, 7 rebounds, 7 steals, and 10 assists. The Comets record now stands at 14-6 with a 3-1 record in Bay Valley Conference play... GO COMETS!!!"
