Down south on Thursday, Chico State beat Cal State San Marcos 83-73 with a number of Wildcats contributing heavily to the cause. Corey Silverstrom led with 27 points, Robert (Granite Bay High) Duncan was next with 17 and Jalen (Castro Valley High) McFerren produced a 13 rebound, 11 point double-double.
San Marcos won the points-in-the-paint battle 42-20 but also shot 2-20 from beyond the arc.
Chico is now 15-3 overall, 9-2 in league.
