Over in the islands on Thursday, Hawaii Pacific took an 87-82 victory over California Baptist. For the victors, Colfax (Pleasant Grove High) Nordquist scored 13 points and grabbed seven boards in 18 minutes. He shot 6-9 overall.
Jordan (St. Mary's/San Ramon Valley High) Giusti scored 17 points and distributed six assists and Michael (El Camino High) Smith tallied 14 for CBU.
