"Vinny Ferrari and Tyler Garlitos, Burlingame boys’ basketball. The Panthers’ senior tandem each posted back-to-back double-doubles to lead Burlingame to a pair of wins to open the Leo LaRocca Sand Dunes Classic at St. Ignatius-SF. In last Monday’s opener, Burlingame edged St. Joseph’s Notre Dame 58-55; Garlitos scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, Ferrari totaled 18 points and 11 rebounds. In Tuesday’s 73-69 win over Mission-SF, Garlitos had a career-high 29 points and added 13 rebounds, while Ferrari scored a career-high 28 points and added a game-high 14 rebounds. In Wednesday’s championship-game loss to James Logan-Union City, Ferrari scored a team-high 20 points and Garlitos added 19. The duo is currently one-two among Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division leaders in both points and rebounds — Ferrari, 22.4 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game; and Garlitos, 20.7 points per game and 11.9 rebounds per game."
