Hoyt heading the Columbia program

Seahawk Assistant Named as New Head Coach at Columbia College

Cabrillo College assistant Coach Rob Hoyt has accepted the Head Men's basketball coaching position at Columbia College (Sonora, CA). Hoyt, 28, has been with the Seahawks for the past four seasons. During that time the Seahawks won 3 Coast Conference South Championships and had an overall record of 78-34 and a CCS record of 41-7 during that span.

Hoyt will be returning to his alma mater and home town. Hoyt graduated from Sonora High school in 2003 and then Columbia College in 2005. Hoyt played for the recently retiring Head Coach Nate Rein who will now be the Director of Athletics.

The Claimjumpers finished 9-17 overall and 4-8 (5th place) in the very competitive Central Valley Conference.
