A little on Kiwi and Chase

Steve Kyler/Editor and Publisher of HOOPSWORLD covering the NBA and basketball for USA Today Sports, posted a pair of tweets, one very intriguing:

SDUs Chase Tapley in the gym too... very long and stocky two... good defender has a good handle shoots it solidly from deep

and

Kiwi Gardner in the gym.. a little small but explosive solid shooter really quick agressive defender

Kyler is alluding to players working out in a gym in Los Angeles and references New Mexico's Tony Snell too. Snell is an underclassman who has entered the NBA draft while Tapley is a senior.

So maybe Kiwi is trying to impress someone in the play-for-pay world.

In response to a query about Kiwi and the odds of being drafted, Kyler responded: "low. An international guy. Hard to make the NBA at 5'7 with no college games" and then "he is a super nice kid, with all kinds of motor, so he'll make some money playing basketball, but not a draft pick"
