California hosted injury-riddled Humboldt State University Thursday night and the guests were rudely treated to the tune of 83-61.
Both Jabari Bird and Tyrone Wallace went for nine points for the Bears. Jeff Powers added five.
Lumberjack freshmen Will (Arcata High) Taylor and Parker (McKinleyville High) Farris contributed nine and six points respectively, with Taylor adding five boards. Out of Arcata High and College of the Sequoias, junior Brandon Pomrehn enjoyed eight points.
