Via Brad Winton: "Emmanuel Malou (6'9/F) of ABCD Prep will play this season at Yuba College in California."
He's out of Australia and had earlier committed to College of Southern Idaho. ABCD Prep turned out to be a ruse and thus hindered his DI eligibility:

Mr. Blog writer, I think you have your facts wrong on this one! I am a Cyclone fan and Malou did not have the grades to play D1 ball as he did not graduate high school in Australia. Playing at Southern Idaho fell through because the NJCAA would not let him play because he declared for the NBA Draft a couple years ago. You have to be more of a fact checker before you post false information on social media.
ReplyDeleteIn several articles, it is written that Malou pulled out of the NBA draft and didn't hire an agent -- are you arguing that this is incorrect because, if he did, his eligibility to play community college basketball would be intact?
DeleteMalou in my opinion was black balled by the NJCAA due to a numerous programs complaining that he did enter the draft and not hire an agent. No knock on the California juco league but College of Southern Idaho in my mind would of won the Juco championship. Malou combined with another ABCD prep player Novian Cherry made a lot of top njcaa coaches mad. And yes, Malou will destroy the California league. He needs the grades as he is a high major talent even without playing a minute of ball. Yuba got a All American!
