Nor Cal talents starting in the Big West Conference

Out of Sparky's preview of the Big West Conference, comes these highlights -- he denotes the following as starters:

* UC Irvine PF Will Davis II (11.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg) Davis played hurt most of last year. As a sophomore, he was defensive player of the year in the BW. He is big, athletic and experienced.

* UC Santa Barbara SG Michael Bryson (11.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg) Bryson is a fluid, strong, athletic guard who had a breakout year as a sophomore, earning honorable mention all BW honors.

* UC Davis SF Josh Ritchart (17.3 ppg) Really a great shooter, was tearing it up before he tore it up. If he is healthy he is a dangerous scorer.

* UC Davis PF If JT Adenrele is healthy, he was the starter two years ago and averaged 12.6 ppg

* Hawaii: The probable starter at the point will be Quincy Smith who logged 4.9 ppg in 17 minutes backing up Shamburger.

* Cal State Fullerton G Alex Harris (15.6 ppg) BW Honorable mention. With Michael Williams gone, Harris is capable of starting at either guard spot. He will be the focus of the offense and undoubtedly, the focus of the other team’s defense.

* UC Riverside PF Taylor Johns (12.0 ppg, 7.8 rpg) Johns is a good player, he deserves a better team.
