Contra Costa College Men's Basketball: "The Comets defeated Consumnes River to advance in the state playoffs and won their first home playoff game since 1990! After a tight first half the Comets jumped out to a 16 point lead in the 2nd half and held off a Consumnes River run. F Larry Wickett led the Comets with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists, while G Anthony Sullen added 20 points and 4 rebounds. F Deonte Smith added 7 points, 9 rebounds, and blocked 5 shots. The Comets will play the winner of the Sacramento City/Feather River game that will take place tomorrow night... GO COMETS!!!!"
