Merritt 85, Napa 67

Host Merritt College turned back Napa Valley College 85-67 Tuesday night. A 51-37 second half did the trick for the Thunderbirds. Lewis (Chavez High) Hayes led the way with an ultra efficient 20 points (8-10 shooting) plus 11 boards and Tyrell (El Cerrito High) Alcorn tallied 20 points.
