In St. George, Utah on Saturday, California Baptist and Dixie State battled and an overtime period was needed before the latter emerged the 94-88 victor. Each team made 33 free throws but the visitors shot 5-30 from beyond the arc.
Aided by shooting 12-12 at the foul line, Michael (El Camino High) Smith led CB with 28 points.
