Taylor Johns dismissed

Allan Steele: "The season that started with so much promise for the UC Riverside men’s basketball team hit its low point Thursday night.

Prior to the game with UC Santa Barbara, UCR Coach Dennis Cutts announced All-Big West forward Taylor Johns was dismissed from the team for violation of team and athletic department rules.

UCR lost the game, 65-55, suffering its fourth straight loss, but the overwhelming storyline was the loss of star player.

Johns was previously suspended five games at the start of the season and Cutts wouldn’t go into detail, but said the dismissal was related to the earlier offense..."
