"In our fourteenth rankings for Northern California, San Francisco remains the top team and there were minor changes in the top five this week. Contra Costa and Fresno move ahead of Cabrillo after the Seahawks suffered a loss to Monterey. Sequoias drops a couple spots as well after losing to West Hills on the road. Diablo Valley jumps into the rankings as the Vikings have now won five straight and are in the mix in making the post season.
1. San Francisco (26-1): The Rams have won 17 straight games and remain at the top spot of the Northern California rankings. Last week, the Rams picked up victories against Foothill and Ohlone and will close out the regular season this week on the road against 7th ranked Las Positas in Livermore on Wednesday to close out Coast North Conference action.
2. Feather River (25-1): The Golden Eagles remain at number two in the rankings as they have won 11 straight games to hold on to the second spot in Northern California. Last week, the Golden Valley champions picked up wins against Butte and Lassen and will close out the regular season with a road game against Siskiyous on Wednesday.
3. Contra Costa (22-6): The Bay Valley Conference regular season champions have won 11 straight and move up one spot in the rankings. Last week, the Comets picked up wins against Merritt and Mendocino and will face Alameda on Tuesday in the first round of the Bay Valley Conference tournament and other opponents will be announced as the week goes on.
4. Fresno (23-6): The Rams move up one spot in the rankings after going 1-0 last week. Fresno dominated Reedley 114-88 last week and will focus on two more Central Valley Conference games this week. Fresno will face Porterville at home on Wednesday and follow that up with their last regular season home game against 8th ranked Sequoias on Saturday night.
5. Cabrillo (19-5): The Seahawks drop two spots in the rankings following a 1-1 week. Cabrillo picked up a win against West Valley but had a set back against Monterey last week. This week, Cabrillo will face 12th ranked San Jose on Wednesday and follow that up with their last regular season home game against De Anza on Friday evening to close out the season..."
