Coach Randy Bennett and St. Mary's have dipped back into the Citrus College well once (first, Coach Rick Croy and then backcourter James Walker) again with the signing of guard Kerry Carter. He's 6-foot-2, 205 and a starter for two season with the Owls.
In 19 games, (that's the latest Citrus entered) Carter averaged 21.3 points per contest, shooting 42%, 35% and 72% respectively. He was the team leader in steals with 35.
Walker, Stephen Holt and Jorden Page will be seniors next season with Jordan Giusti a sophomore. Former backcourt prep signee Cullen Neal will be at New Mexico.
Here's a December 2012 article on Carter.
What's interesting is that this November 2012 article has Carter signing with Cal State Fullerton but that was before a coaching change.
