It took an overtime period to determine the winner and that was San Diego State 73-69 over New Mexico State last night as the Aztecs continue on wearing their Big Dancin' shoes.
Xavier Thames didn't shoot all that well, except 10-12 from the foul line, but concluded with 23 points. He was also credited with five assists and three steals.
For the Land of Enchantment guys, Kevin Aronis finished with 12 points, five boards and a pair of assists. His trey very late in the game tied the score in regulation and forced the overtime.
