In Las Vegas last night, puzzling San Diego State turned back previously unbeaten California 72-58. The Bears led 36-28 at halftime but the Aztecs went on a 44-22 second 20 minute blitz.

Both Dakarai (Sheldon High) Allen and Malik (Laguna Creek High) Pope shot 1-7 and each scored four points.

Cal was credited with just five assists on 21 buckets as Ivan (Bishop O'Dowd) Rabb totaled 18 points plus nine boards. Tyrone Wallace scored 16.
