It was 47-38 in favor of Toledo at the half and the Rockets also won the second 20 minutes 42-36 to take a 89-74 victory over San Jose State University on Wednesday in the Great Alaska Shootout.
For the Spartans, Frank (Salinas High) Rogers was efficient with 16 points (6-11, 2-3, 2-3) plus eight boards and three blocked shots.
