Host Utah easily turned away Idaho State 102-72 last night in a matchup that featured a couple of northern California talent connections:
* Ali (Arizona Western College/San Lorenzo High) Faruq-Bey scored 15 points and grabbed four rebounds in 30 minutes for ISU.
* Utah's Gabe (CCSF/Antelope High) Bealer totaled 12 points in 10 minutes of action, shooting 5-5 overall and 2-2 from long distance.
