Chico St. 77, UC San Diego 71

In the biggest matchup of this season in the CCAA, Chico State headed south to face UC San Diego on Friday and grabbed a 77-71 victory. It was Isaiah (Antelope High) Ellis Night as the 6-foot-8 Wildcat sophomore tallied 26 points on 7-11 shooting from the floor plus 12-13 at the foul line.

For the Tritons, 6-foot-1 sophomore Grant (Monte Vista High) Jackson went for 13 points, three rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals in 27 minutes.

Chico State is now in first place.
