Louisville strategizes its problem

"Louisville to self-impose a postseason ban in escort scandal" -- Jeff Greer/USA TODAY

"...It's reasonable to conclude that violations have occurred in men’s basketball program in the past," school President James Ramsey said during a news conference Friday to announce the sanctions...

So two young men who had nothing to do with these violations will not be playing in the Big Dance because of the earlier behavior of others. Yet again, individuals are sacrificed for the good of the behemoth entity. Way to go Louisville.

Mark Isenberg tweeted:

"At UL, every constituency but the players were taken into account. It's all about protecting the program and the next recruiting class"

and

"Not that we need more NCAA rules but...once the school yr starts, schools shouldn't be allowed to self-impose postseason bans."
