Not Nor Cal-related but...

Jordan Conn writes about a trio of NBA fringe players showing their skills in Vegas and the attempts to keep hope alive.

The best line (and the reason for posting this): "...Adam Morrison wasn't as good at basketball as people who get paid to guess who will be good at basketball thought he would be. And because we've collectively decided that undeserved hype is akin to moral failure, Morrison is now guilty of one of the game's greatest sins..."

Succeed and we all want to ride in the collective bandwagon -- don't reach the vaunted heights prescribed for you and you're pond scum. What does that say about us?
