Arizona hosted Pacific Friday night and the visitors fell behind 41-24 after 20 minutes but then played the Wildcats even after that. Former USF frontcourter Mark (San Ramon Valley High) Tollefsen totaled 10 points, five boards and three blocked shot in his debut as a starter in Tucson.
For the Tigers, T.J. (Modesto Christian High) Wallace needed 18 shots to reach his team-best 19 points and his eight rebounds was also tops on the team. Ray (Modesto Christian High) Bowles was next with both 14 points plus five caroms.
