Columbia College 74, Contra Costa College 73 (Las Positas College tourney)

Columbia College Men's Basketball"Jumpers win on buzzer beater!! With 8 secs to go and no timeouts, Lewayne Grant makes buzzer beater to beat Contra Costa 74-73. Jumpers controlled 39 minutes of the game but failed to put away the Comets until the final second."

Contra Costa College Men's Basketball"The Comets dropped a heartbreaker at the buzzer to Columbia College 73-72 to open the season. After falling in a 10 point hole early the Comets battled back to take the lead late before losing on the final possession. The Comets bad free throw shooting (7/17) also had a hand in the loss. Anthony Sullen led the Comets with 18 points and 9 rebounds while Bobby Syvanthong had 12 points and 6 assists. Larry Wickett added 15 points."

Freshman guard Danny (Marysville High) Lewis' six treys/18 points paced the Roadrunners alongside 55% shooting (11-20) from beyond the arc as well as 24-30 at the foul line.
