San Diego State Coach Steve Fisher:
"CBS Sports: You return six players who were a part of a team last season that won 27 games and a game in the NCAA Tournament. Who makes the biggest jump this season out of that returning nucleus?
Fisher: Good question -- I don't know. I'm hoping several. I think Malik Pope has a chance. He had flashes last year, but he has a chance to do that on a consistent basis. I think Trey Kell has a chance. He'll probably slide over more off the ball and I think he's more comfortable there. He'll probably have the ball in his hands some too, but he'll play more this year off the ball -- at least to start with. He's been shooting the ball well. A guy that's played well for us in practice is Dakarai Allen. We all know he can defend, but he's been shooting the ball well. So we'll see. And I like Winston Shepard too. Every year he's gotten better."
