"...The biggest payoff of the recruiting class could come via Malou — from Melbourne, Australia — who is the No. 2 JUCO player from Yuba College in California. The 6-foot-9 versatile forward averaged 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks last season.

[ISU Coach Steve] Prohm is hopeful Malou will have two years to play in Ames, but complications with eligibility won’t be resolved until spring or summer of 2016.

“As of right now, our intention is he plays from day one, but we’ll deal with that throughout the year and continue to get with compliance and work hand in hand with them,” Prohm said. “He’s a guy, regardless, you’ve got to get in your program so we had to get it done.”
