On Saturday up in Rocklin, Menlo College bettered UC Merced 65-56. Sophomore Tyler (Harte High) Evans led the victors with 18 points (7-10 overall, 4-6 from three), Dylan *Sonoma Valley High) Severance 15 boards and Mikey College Park High) Eggleton enjoyed 10 points plus six assists.
For Merced, sophomore guard Ben (Pleasant Grove High) Nguyen provided nine points, six assists and two steals.

Evans' 17 points also paced Menlo on Friday in a 66-59 loss to Oregon Tech.
