On Saturday up in Redding, Merritt College used a 50-37 second half to best College of the Siskiyous 79-71. Omari (Sacred Heart Cathedral High) Brown shot 7-11 to lead the Thunderbird and also posted four assists and a trio of steals. Lamont (St. Joseph Notre Dame) Banks enjoyed a 17 point, 10 rebound double-double that included shooting 8-10 and Tyrell (El Cerrito High) Alcorn scored 16 points.
