The PacWest Conference has honored Cal Baptist junior Michael Smith, out of El Camino High:

Smith led the 11th-ranked Lancers to a 5-0 start to the season, including a victory over a top-10 opponent. He averaged 20.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, both top marks for CBU. He scored a career-high 27 points in the season-opening victory over No. 9 Minnesota State-Moorhead. He shot 11-for-13 from the free throw line and grabbed 11 rebounds to complete the double-double. He had another double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds against Upper Iowa."
