On Sunday, UC Irvine had little trouble with visiting Loyola Marymount as senior forward Mike (Terra Linda High) Best led the Anteaters with both 22 points plus eight rebounds, shooting 9-13, 0-1, 4-4. Teammate and redshirt freshman Jonathan (Salesian High) Galloway grabbed six boards in 16 minutes.

Junior guard Matt (Pleasant Grove High) Hayes scored nine points for LMU, shooting 3-6 from long distance.

On Friday, Coach Russell Turner's guys downed UC San Diego 89-73. Galloway enjoyed 10 points and three boards in 18 minutes while Best had eight and two. 

For the Tritons, sophomore guard Grant (Monte Vista High) Jackson posted a seven point, three rebound and two assist line with 6-foot-7 freshman Chris (Campolindo High) Hansen totaling nine points plus four boards.
