Unsung Noah Allen

Granted, for DLS star Elliott Pitts doesn't play major minutes for Arizona but he has worked to become a recognized contributor for the Wildcats -- the best defender on the team:

"[Arizona Coach Sean] Miller said he was still working through the best options to fill Smith’s expected minutes at small forward: Either going with both Gabe York and Allonzo Trier on the wing in a three-guard look along with the point guard, or with Mark Tollefsen or Elliott Pitts at small forward.

Defense will have a lot to do with it, of course, and while Tollefsen has been a versatile defender at USF, Pitts may have an edge to gain some minutes in that respect.

“Elliott is the furthest along defensively and I think he’s one of our team’s best overall defensive players,” Miller said. “Kadeem Allen and him, I think everybody on the team would look to those two guys as being very dependable when it comes to being in the right place and taking on a challenge of playing against one of those elite guards we’re going to face...”
