Heat's Tyler Johnson's strengths and weaknesses

Tyler Johnson, guard
by Jim Rassol/Orlando Sun Sentinel

Ht: 6-4. Age: Turns 24 on May 7. 2015-16 salary status: Has $845,000 partially-guaranteed salary, on second year of two-year contract. Roster role: Johnson has spent most of training camp at point guard, which would indicate the Heat exploring possibilities in case Mario Chalmers is dealt in a tax-saving move. Johnson, however, is not a pure playmaker, best when utilized alongside a facilitator, possibly to benefit if used in the second unit alongside Josh McRoberts and Justise Winslow. Johnson is one of the few Heat guards capable of consistently defending full court.
