Via COM Men's Basketball: "Great win for the Mariners they won 97-84 George Johnson lead the way with 32 points, Karim Ndiaye had 9 points and 13 rebounds."
From the Marin Independent Journal:
"George Johnson scored 32 points to lead the College of Marin men’s basketball team to its second victory of the season, a 97-84 win against Lassen College at the Chabot Tip-Off Classic on Friday.
Former San Marin High standout Noah Everly scored 18 points to help the Mariners (2-3) rally. Ty Davis added 16 points and five assists while Karim Ndiaye had nine points and 13 rebounds.
“(Lassen) had a 15-point lead early in first half,” COM assistant coach De’Undrae Perteete said. “We fought back and were down four at half. In the second half, we took over. We made some good defensive stops and George Johnson was just too hot. He was hitting the basket and Karim was doing a good job of getting the rebounds and things like that.”
COM continues play in the tournament at 11 a.m. on Saturday against the College of the Siskiyous."
Johnson has been 'en fuego' all season.
