On Friday in Shanghai, Washington bested Texas 77-71 despite the Longhorns getting 29 points and seven boards from Isaiah Taylor who shot 8-17, 1-2 and 12-15 respectively.
For UW, freshman Marquese (Pleasant Grove High) Chriss totaled 14 points, two boards and a pair of blocked shots. He went 4-7 from the floor, 6-9 at the foul line.
