On Friday, the College of Southern Idaho topped Planet Athlete 131-102 to open the season. In 20 minutes on the court, sophomore UC (Capital Christian High) Iroegbu tallied 15 points, shooting 6-9 overall, 3-3 from beyond the arc. Marquis (James Logan High) Godfrey, a fellow sophomore, went for 10 points plus a team-leading nine boards in 18 minutes.
The next night, it was a 138-102 win versus Hillcrest Prep, with 11 and 10 points for Iroegbu and Godfrey.
One junior college poll has CSI ranked #1 in the nation, another positions the Golden Eagles at #2.
