A dominating 44-24 St. Mary's first half closed the season for Pepperdine Monday as the Gaels won 81-66 in Las Vegas. Randy Bennett's crew shot 57% overall, going a remarkable 23-32 on shots inside the arc while committing just four turnovers. James Rahon led with 18 points and Dane Pineau shot 8-10 for 16 points. The latter also grabbed nine boards.
Also, the Wave attempted just nine free throws on the night.
Amadi Udenyi produced 13 points, four assists and three rebounds for the Malibu-ites.
