In an opening round Mountain West Conference tournament game on Wednesday, Utah State burst out to a solid lead and never lost it in defeating Wyoming 88.-0 in Las Vegas. For the victors, Chris (Yuba College) Smith shot 7-12, 4-6 and 2-2 on his way to 20 points. He was also credited with four assists and three rebounds.
