The Comets raced out to an early 20 point lead and never looked back, dominating from the start. F Jeremiah Alston led the Comets 15 points and 9 rebounds while G Rae Jackson added 15 points 5 rebounds and 4 assists. G Jalen Dominique knocked down three 3 pointers on his way to 14 points as well... GO COMETS!!!"

The Men's Mariners basketball team won there first game of the season 69-57. [Ty Davis] @imtee_15 lead the way with 21 points.

George Johnson added 13 points and Brandon Barrett hit 4 three point baskets, to add 12 points to the Mariners victory.
From the Appeal Democrat: "...The 49ers (0-2) trailed just 27-24 at the half despite hitting only six field goals.
"It was one of those weird games where it seemed like both teams didn't want to be there," said coach Doug Cornelius. "We just couldn't buy a basket in the first half."
The 49ers were able to tie the game with nine minutes left; however, Marin went on a run and built up a double-digit lead, and a last attempt at a run fell short as the 49ers dropped their second straight game to open the season.
Manny Malou had a team-high 17 points, and Xavier Sims came off the bench to score 15 points for the 49ers. Jojo Zamora, who led the team with 34 points in the opener, was held to four points in the game. The 49ers were without Vasilje Saraba, who suffered a hip pointer in the loss to City College of San Francisco on Friday..."
