Coach Jason Barton is back with his 2012 version of the Nor Cal Pharaohs, with two big time upcoming tournaments on the schedule for July:
*July 11-13 Reebok Breakout Challenge
Philadelphia University, Philadelphia, PA
* July 25-29 Adidas Super 64
Las Vegas, NV
As for the makeup of this season's Pharaohs, here goes (with descriptions provided by Barton):
* Noah Blackwell, 6-foot-2, 190 pounds
Woodcreek High School, 2015
Noah is a point guard who can also play shooting guard. He is a poised player for his age and has a great understanding of the game. Being a tremendous teammate, he gets everyone involved. Noah has a great shooting range from three-point distance to off-the-dribble midrange, or all the way to the bucket. He sees the floor well and is a very smart basketball player. This year for Woodcreek High School, he was the starting point guard. Noah is getting a lot of interests from colleges and will be attending the Reebok All American Camp in Philadelphia.
* Darrelle Dixon, 6-foot-0, 175 pounds
McClatchy High School, 2012
Darrelle is a scorer. Not only a true ball-handler, he can score by
getting to the basket, pulling up for a mid-range shot, or hitting the 3
pointer. Darrelle is one of the best offense rebounding guards that I
have seen. He also prides himself on his on-ball defense.
* Aaron Harmetz, 6-foot-0, 190 pounds
McClatchy High School - 2015
Aaron was on varsity as a freshman this year. He is a serious ball
handler and a true point guard. He looks to set up his teammates with
his driving to the basket. Aaron’s capability to shoot critically is
expressed in his ability to hit three-pointers, as well as execute mid-range
shots.
* Lake Lutes, 6-foot-7, 195 pounds
Jesuit High School, 2014
Lake is a very long and athletic wing with excellent basketball skills. He hits the three-pointer with consistency and is terrific with the ball and getting to the hoop while creating his shot, as well as shots for his teammates. With Lake’s length, he is a great rebounder and defender. He has flexibility from a position standpoint and is on a lot of colleges watch lists.
* Edwin Olympio, 6-foot-4, 205 pounds
Folsom High School - 2013
Edwin is athletic, expresses tremendous jumping ability and has relocated from France where he averaged 23 points a game. He uses his athleticism to get to the hoop and rebounds the ball well. Edwin is also a great on-ball defender and takes pride in playing imposing defense.
* Semir Cahtarevic, 6-foot-7, 200 pounds
Del Campo High School - 2013
Semir is a long wing who can hit the three-pointer. He has significant ball handling skills and can ably get to the bucket. With his long arms, Semir is able to grab a bunch of boards.
* Connor Sende, 6-foot-6, 190 pounds
Oak Ridge High School, 2014
Connor is a very athletic wing who can score getting to the bucket off the dribble as well as hitting the outside jump shot. He is a great three-point shooter and rebounds well. Connor has a knack for grabbing offensive boards.
* Eric Stutteville, 6-foot-9, 220 pounds
Casa Robles High School, 2013
Eric is a true big man. A superior rebounder, he can score with his back to the basket as well as step out and knock down the 15-to-18 foot jump shot. Eric is a good post defender, a great shot blocker and has already received an offer from Sacramento State, as well as a lot of interest from several other colleges and will be attending the Reebok All American Camp in Philadelphia.
* Mason Stutteville, 6-foot-7, 200 pounds
Casa Robles High School, 2014
Mason is a big wing. He is a great shooter, a first-class rebounder, an essential defender and collects his share of blocks. Mason can
score with his back to the basket as well as step out and hit the shot
all the way out to the three-point line.
