Former UCLA great Marques Johnson reported: "One of the true warriors in @UCLAMBB history has gone on to glory. Dave Meyers was our Captain in '75 and as tenacious a player ever. RIP."

Loved this guy's play. All arms, elbows and effort. He left professional ball after four seasons because of his family and faith. Meyers was the #2 selection in the 1975 NBA draft -- a bit surprising considering he wasn't all that skilled offensively..
