The Times-Herald: "The Cal Maritime men’s basketball team earned a No. 7 seed in the Liston Bracket and will take on No. 2 Union College of Kentucky in the first round of the 32-team NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship on Wednesday.
The Keelhaulers (22-9) won the California Pacific Conference tournament for the fifth straight season on Monday by outlasting La Sierra 90-86 in overtime.
The Bulldogs (28-6) are from Barbourville, Ky.
The game will take place at 2 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Wednesday and will be played at College of the Ozarks in Missouri.
This year’s field includes 23 automatic qualifiers, eight at-large selections and one host berth.
This is the fifth trip to nationals for Cal Maritime, which own a 1-4 record in its previous trips.
In the final regular-season poll, the Keelhaulers were ranked No. 23. Union is ranked No. 7 in the national poll."
