There wasn't a big difference between these two teams as Cal Poly Pomona won the first half by three points and the second 20 minutes by four but it was enough to defeat visiting San Francisco State 57-50 on Tuesday. The matchup was in the opening round of the California Collegiate Athletic Association tournament.
Jon McMurry led the Gators with 18 points followed by Floyd (Yuba College) Wormley's 13. SF State shot 19-50, 9-26 and 3-8.
