Coates heads north to Alaska

Jalen Coates was at Montana Tech this season, his sophomore one. He was a Second Team All Frontier Conference selection. "Coates, a 5-9 guard from Sacramento, Calif., finished his first season with the Orediggers.  He finished second in the conference in scoring totaling 567 points with an 18.9 points per game average. The sophomore transfer finished the year shooting 46 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from beyond the arc. He also led the conference in steals per game with 1.97 per contest...."

The Orediggers finished 8-22 this season and recently changed head coaches.
